Peel
The characters in my scripts are named after the real life people they are based on. The reason for this is that I would find it hard to write about Pete if I kept seeing the name ’Bruce’ or ’Julian’ on the page. Saying that, I would like to hear no comment over the fact that the character, John, has no troubled getting laid. Pete is a failing but brilliant musician with low self esteem. This is not helped by the attitude of his friend and housemate John, who finds life’s complexities a breeze, his stalker work colleague Priya and his de-motivating therapist. Pete’s plight is also worsened by his inability to pull women. He’s a confused loser struggling to find happiness. |
